THERE'S A WONDERFUL NEW MINI-DOCUMENTARY about Steve Aimone's teaching and his Expressive Drawing book. Made by Emmy Award winning film-maker Stephen Menick, it'll be on PBS in the fall and is currently featured on the AARP website. It's exciting to watch.

IN LATE OCTOBER, WE'RE RETURNIG TO
VANCOUVER ISLAND, BRITISH COLUMBIA
TO CONDUCT AN ENCORE PRESENTATION OF OUR POPULAR ABSTRACT PAINTING WORKSHOP
Twenty highly focused and dedicated artists from British Columbia, Canada gathered in May to take our Spiritual Language of Art: ABSTRACT PAINTING workshop in Nanaimo. It was a superb group and dynamic experience. Due to a substantial waiting list that had formed for this event, we're returning October 30 through November 3 for an encore workshop. WE'RE ENJOYING OUR SUMMER
ON MONHEGAN ISLAND, MAINE!
...and for the first time in a decade, we're devoting our summer on the island to our own painting and writing projects (we're conducting no formal workshops on the island this year).

IN APRIL, WE CONDUCTED A
LINE AND MARK AS SUBJECT (Expressive Drawing and Painting)
workshop in our Asheville studio. Seven accomplished artists and craftspeople from the Carolinas, Minnesota and Indiana gathered to explore the creative potential of contemporary drawing approaches and processes.
